Floating plants in Portugal are at the forefront of renewable energy technologies.

As world leaders, scientists and activists travel to the UN climate conference COP26, which starts Sunday in Glasgow, Scotland, France 24 showcases a series a country that is at the forefront of renewable energy technologies.

Portugal is the EU country that has made the most progress, in part through the use of floating and solar wind farms located off its coast. Today, 65 percent of all electricity consumed in Portugal comes from renewable sources.
